Here lies a girl
who was always overdressed
and unable to make decisions.

"I have been astonished that Men could die Martyrs for religion - I have shudder'd at it - I shudder no more - I could be martyr'd for my Religion - Love is my religion - I could die for that." - John Keats

Had my first trip to Barnes and Nobles today…. It’s no Borders but in time I can see myself loving it. Picked up my book for my research paper and Hamlet even though I finished it yesterday because the Barnes &Noble Shakespeare is a lovely edition and it clarifies so much. There was a lot I was confused about so I am going to reread the last two acts in this version since it was recommended to me by my Shakespeare Studies teacher last year and it was great with A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

I made a little reading corner on my floor & am settling in with act two of Hamlet! I have to admit that I am enjoying senior year so far. All of my classes are so mind opening, thought evoking, enlightening…. it’s lovely.

I have so many books that they have to be stacked weirdly to all fit in my bookcases.. It kind of bugs me cause I like to be able to see the names and stuff but whatever.
And these are only half of them. The rest are in a huge bin in my basement.

I just finished this. Wow wow wow wow wow so so so good. I can’t even describe it. I went through this with a pen and underlined my favorite lines in every poem and it was just so enjoyable. Such good poetry. I have never been more sad to close a book in my life… I can honestly say that if I think I loved poetry before, it is nothing compared to how much I love it after finishing this. I can’t wait to read more Neruda and to come back to these poems and fall in love all over again.

today I went shopping. I went to this antique/used bookstore where my friend works for her senior project and I picked up The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm. The bookstore is seriously one of the coolest places I have ever seen. I bought a book there once about John Keats and it’s serious the most gorgeous, old book I own.

Right across the street from this bookstore, there’s a borders. So I stopped by and I picked up some more Neruda because I just adore him and at the other store his books were quite expensive. Then I saw this Edgar Allen Poe complete works and I picked it up to look at it, assuming it must be like at least thirty dollars. It was $7.99. What a deal! I couldn’t resist so I had to buy it. The guy at the register commended me for my choice and gave me a discount purely for buying Poe. Nice guy.
